How to Squiggle controls
Control Area controls can be executed by tapping or Squiggling. Squiggling out of the Control Area into the Squiggle Area executes the control from which you enter the Squiggle Area. The example below illustrates this.
Squiggle way?
  1. Place your finger in the Squiggle Area.
  2. Squiggle way.
  3. Without lifting your finger, Squiggle into the Control Area
  4. Without lifting your finger, Squiggle out of the Shift Control Area. This makes capital letters available.
  5. Slide your finger through the P:? Squiggle Trigger Line section.
  6. Release your finger in the Squiggle Area to add a space and way? appears in the editor.
Pausing a Squiggle
Squiggling into the Control Area and then lifting your finger pauses the current word prediction without adding a space.
When you pause a Squiggle, you can resumed it by placing your finger in the Squiggle Area and continue the Squiggle.
During a paused Squiggle, you can press the left arrow release key to begin a new word prediction to build new words, select number mode, or select symbol mode.
Long-Squiggle Shortcuts*
Similar to long-pressing a key to produce a symbol, a Squiggle can be extended to produce a symbol or a shortcut. This is called a long-Squiggle.
To execute a long-Squiggle, pause, for a second or two, the Squiggle after you cross the Squiggle Trigger Line while your finger is still in the Squiggle Area. The symbol corresponding to the Squiggle Column that you crossed will appear in the editor. After the symbol appears, you can continue.
*You must activate this feature in the Tio Settings Menu: check Enable Long-Press in the Squiggle Options section.
